December Wrap - up...

Here is the wrap up from the past week. It is almost a relief to have things
about back to normal.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas Season.

Our little shanty Gingerbread house. The kids loved making it.

Matt and Stoney playing with Matt's remote control
helicopter.

Stoney and his Incredible Hulk hands..
He LOVED them!

On to Oxford on the 27Th. My Great-niece Kimberly.

My nephew and my brother.
My nephew Russell and Tyler and his wife Jessica.

Russell and Tyler acting like themselves.

My brother and Sister-in-law Zach and Joyce.

And saying giving thanks to Him before we eat.
Posting should be back to normal next week. I hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year filled with Many, Many Blessings!

Days 15 thru 20....

OK... This has been a crazy slammed week. I apologize for not posting the last few days. So, I will catch up right now : ).

Day 15.

Tonight we worked on ornaments for teacher gifts.
Any excuse to paint is welcome around here.

Day 16.

My new bubble lights for our smaller tabletop tree. Love Bubble lights. I have
always wanted some.

Day 17.

This is my attempt at trying to capture the lights of the King and Queen building.... not so much : ).... I so need an SLR camera.... I long for one : ) LOL

Day 18.

1st Grade had Christmas around the world. It was controlled Chaos at best...
We talked about Chinese New Year and made a Dragon. Then we made a Hanukkah Crown
and had potato latkes. The last room was building gingerbread houses and reading a Christmas Story.

Day 19.

Stoney decided that he wanted my shirt after I took it off. He wanted me to take his picture in it and he may have even slept in it....

Day 20.

And then this morning I walked by Stoney's room and he and his Dad and Sister
were playing Indiana Jones Lego.. Love this shot : )

Day 12.

I went to S's.... Let's call him Stoney.... Stoney's Christmas party thing at pre-K yesterday.
He made three different things in three different rooms.
One was a necklace. Then an ornament and
another wind ornament that they decorated and drew on. We had a great time.
He always loves it when I can come and spend time at school with him.

Day 9.

After school the kids were able to go outside and play in the leaves. The storms were coming so it was mild before they got here. We threw armloads of leaves at each other and had a ball.

Day 8.

A little twig of fresh missletoe that I plucked from the tree,
wrapped with ribbon and hung in our home.

December 7.

I came through the Living Room last night and this is what was going on. He had just gotten out of the bath tub with his Dad and stopped by the tree to dance and talk to the ornaments.
He is a hoot I tell ya. And there is never a dull moment.
See you tomorrow : )

December 6.

So, you're wondering why in the world did I post a picture of a Explorer?
Well..... I'll tell you. That is our "Exploda" and we finally got it back yesterday after it was in
the shop for three weeks.
WOOHOO!
Yes, we are a one car family and it hasn't been easy. With the help of some great friends and living close to things we need, we did survive. But I gotta tell ya.... I missed my truck. And I was happy to see her. I don't mind walking to the bus stop to meet the kids. But I would like to at least have the option of driving if I want to! Hello? Especially if it is pouring rain, 40 degrees and wind blowing at 25 mph... You know? It makes things a bit more tolerable.
So, yes, I am glad to have our wheels back. I haven't had a Ford in a long time. We decided to go with it after much discussion. But I doubt I will ever have another Ford....
Not if I can help it.
I remember hearing the old sayings for Ford
Found On Road Dead.
And
Fix Or Repair Daily.
Well, there you have it. : )

December 5.

This is what we finally finished doing last night. K loved hanging all the ornaments and she asked me the history of each one. Where it came from, who made it, how did they do it. And I am sure she will ask the same thing next year. It doesn't bother me in the least. I want to her to remember forever.

December 4.

S had a great time looking in the boxes last night while we sorted the Christmas decorations. He really took to this horn and asked if he could have it. He played liked he was in a band the rest of the night. I found it neatly on his table in his room this morning when I went in to help him get dressed for school.

December - A Picture Day.

I decided... of course 4 days late... to do a picture a day in December.
I saw it on this blog. And it directed me to the one that is sponsoring it.

So here are my contributions from the last three days. And yes, They were actually taken the last three days. I will post today's picture tomorrow : )

Dec. 1
Here is a tree on my way to the bus stop to pick up the kids.

Dec. 2
Here is my view looking up at the bus stop to meet the kids from school.
Loved the reflection in the building from the clouds.

Dec. 3
Some of the few leaves left from a Maple tree on my walk yesterday to the bus stop.

Hope you enjoy my December through the 25Th...
Come back tomorrow : )
