Yes, my peeps, it is time for another addition of What I Leeaarrned Over The Weekend.

1. Yes, in the South, you can have awful tornadic weather in February. I thought I saw it 'going green' ('Twister', love that movie) on Saturday.

2. I will be so glad when all this tonsil, ear mess is fixed and we are on the road to recovery. We are counting down the days till the antobiotic is gone... (apparently it doesn't taste good...imagine that?) two days to go!!

3. This laptop is just about the best thing since creamy shells and cheese...... And we love that here on Brentwood Drive....

4. I have some of the best friends on the face of the earth... Hey Christie, Chauveen and Jennie!

5. My Sister-in-law is one smart cookie. She is about to embark on a business venture that will be oh-so-perfect for her. More on that as it evolves.

6. I am curious to know why LSU's QB was suspended forever yesterday?.... Hmmm

7. Hello people.... NASCAR is back. Althought the Daytona was a bit of a snoozer on Sunday. I was glad to see Jr. having a good race. And I did not see Ryan Newman winning.... never saw that coming.

8.And of course a post is not a post without a picture..............

Do I wish I could sleep like that? Well, yea! Don't you?

So, that is what has been bumping around in my mind over the last few days... How was your weekend? What did you learn?

Yes, my Peeps. It is that time again. So without further adooooo.

What I Leeaarrned Over The Weekend....

1 -- Calm, Cool, Collected = Eli Manning

Woohoo! How cool was it to see him lead the Giants to a Super Bowl win?!?!?

2 -- Trading Spaces is back! And most of the original crew is back including Frank.. I just love Frank : )

3 -- You may or may not know that I am one half of a "mixed' marriage lol...... Well, each of us now own our own pair of Auburn Crocs and Alabama crocs..... Yes, it is a marriage made in football lovin, shoe wearin Heaven. LOVE THEEEEM!

4 -- The new CD "Louder Than Creation" is just AWE-some! It was recorded live at my church last year. My favorite song right now is "Let Me Sing". You can listen to it here. You can purchase it here.

ETA : just so you know, this &*%$#%&** pc is on my last nerve. I sooo tried to get this post out yesterday... several times... Here it is. Only a few more days until SWEET RELIEF.....

Good Morning My Peeps

Yes..... It is time for "What I Leeaarrned Over The Weekend". (I know it is a day a late, but think "Monday")

So, Where do I start......

1- Friday night.... I learned that this man still has it.. Has always had it and no matter how long he takes off, will continue to have it. It was so good to see and hear him live again.

2- Saturday morning.... Maybe we have turned a corner? I looked at the clock and it was almost 8:00 a.m. (we always have little people in our room by 6:30). I then looked at M and had a most terrifying thought.........."I wonder what sort of foolish and mayhem they are into!" I jumped up (figuratively...shut up) and then heard little voices outside my door. I opened the door and asked what they had been doing. K. very politlely said " We were watching Power Rangers movie. I didn't want to disturb you........ Well. Now. You could have knocked me over with a feather.... I had to stand there and let that sink in for a minute. Then. Now pay attention.... Here is the kicker...... she said " And I am going to start doing this from now on". I know. I know. Stunning isn't it? I thanked her profusely.

3- Sunday morning.... M. and I so enjoyed church. It was really awesome. The music. The message. I'll be honest... it was like Andy was talking right to us. It just really hit home. And after the events of last week it I found myself fighting back tears the whole hour.

I love my church. I love my God. He is an awesome God.

Now, on that note. I want to thank you for all your prayers for the Burgess family during this time. The memorial service was a testament to Rick and Sheri's faith in God. It s one to be reckoned with. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

A sweet lady out in blog land stopped in and wrote me a note. Thank you Trina. It was so sweet and meant a great deal. I wanted to write you back and tell you but I have no way of responding to you. Please leave an email address on the comment link. Thanks ; )

Monday, Monday

Hey now.

And how are all my peeps out there on the information highway today? Did ya have a good weekend? Did you do something constructive? Did you learn something new?

Well, I am starting a new aspect of my blog today.

On Mondays it will now be called "What I Leeeeeeeaaaaarrrrrned Over The Weekend"

I am actually lifting it from a sports talk radio program that M and I listen too here in the mornings called Mayhem in the A.M. on 790 the Zone.
Anyway.... Here is what I learned:

1That if you actually get to take a nap on Sunday afternoon, you might ought to limit it to a couple of hours or less. Because if your other half lets you snooze for four hours or more you will be up half the night. Although, i caught a new show I like "Party Planner Orange County" on Lifetime I think. I will catch it on Fridays (it's regular day) It was interesting to see how the other half lives --(or blows their money) However you want to look at it.
2. That T.O is a wuss.
3. The 30 second (minute) of the Golden Globes is a joke. I so hated it. I hope so much that everything will be resolved by the time the Oscars are on.

I really don't care for Mondays. Especially Mondays that I have to work LOL. Anyway, I am in a much better mood now because the morning is over. I am home with my family and a new Bionicle video game came in the mail today and the kids (and I mean all three of them ) are well into figuring it out.

Here they are (well two of them are) playing Star Wars LEGOS on the PS2.

Now, I am off to a friends house for our bi monthly Stampin'Up hostess club. I will create and converse with some of the best friends on the planet! (without children there, mind you) Stampin Up!
