Let the Games Begin...

Yesterday opened the games of Field Day for K's Elementary
school. It was really neat what they did. They had the
entire school come out front and stood in groups each with a flag
from each Nation. Then the torch was relayed through the street and the
cauldron was lit. The choir sang and it was announced to

"Let the Games Begin".

The first day was for the Pre-K and the Kindergarten. There 10 different games to play
and each class was split into two teams. K was on the blue team.

They learned about sportsmanship and teamwork.

Even little brother and Dad came to help cheer K's class on.

K.and her best buddy V.

Today was the First and Second grade. Tomorrow will be the Third, Fourth and Fifth. Or as K calls all of them.. the "Graders".It was a really fun day for them. There were water games and balancing games and riding games and running games and searching games. It was fun to see her interact with her classmates that I hear her talk about all the time.
Go out and show good sportmanship today.... will ya? Or even a little teamwork....

Go ahead... I'll wait : )
