Recovering from Thanksgiving....

.....and gearing up for Christmas.

Can you really believe it? What is it now.. 22 days till Christmas? I am just mystified at how fast this year has gone by. It seems like yesterday we were trying to decide on what to wear for Halloween. Anyway, I have been away again I know, I know.

We went to AL to my Mom's for Thanksgiving. Before the day was through we had 17 folks at our table. It was a great time. It was so good to see my family and some friends that we had not seen in years. It was a house full, and a good crew for christening Mom's new home. We even played football. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Probably the most fun we had over the long weekend was going out to a friends farm and the kids getting to pet the horses and the donkey. Personally, my highpoint was riding four wheelers in the pastures. Our friend has 46 acres and it was awesome! I must say, you don't see that in Atlanta. It was cold and the air was crisp and clear. I cannot wait to go back.

I took many pictures during the weekend. But, I am still having trouble with disc space on my computer. The old files won't compress and I haven't a clue how to remedy it. Anybody out there know???

Since we last talked my Sweet Baby Girl had her 6th Birthday! That one is very hard to swallow too. She is such a blessing and I love her more than I can put into words. She is kind and loving and a child of God. She can't wait until Sunday to go to church and couonts the days till each one. Her favorite story at bedtime is one out of her Bible every night. She loves her friends and family and misses them terribly when they are gone. She is smart and funny and cracks up at something or cracks me up everyday. Our lives are so full with her in it.

My six year old beauty.

We went to Build-A-Bear for her birthday last weekend. It was really great. She got a puppy and named it Peanut. The outfit she picked out for the puppy was a ballerina outfit with a bow. It is too cute. I want to go back and get her some more clothes for Peanut. If any of you know about BAB, then you know how affordable it is and easy. Check out the website if you haven't already. I have a distinct feeling we will be visiting the store again very soon. (wish I could post a picture! Argh!)

The two Munchkins hamming it up for the camera.

We actually got some Christmas shopping done while we were at the Mall this weekend. It was nice to go together. We had lunch and the kids rode the Merry-go-round. The decorations were beautiful. The sales were pretty nice looking too! We came home and trimmed the tree and the little table top tree too. We hung our Christmas windsock out. I still have to get the village up and running and hang the stockings and few other little decorating items out. But I am pleased with the way it looks so far. (Again, I wish I could post pics! Argh!)

This is the little guy in motion.

And last but not near the least....... My Tigers beat Bama baby!!!! SIX years in a row! Remember, my husband is a Bama fan... (sheesh!) But all is well here in a house divided. We have learned over the last 15 years that we can co-exist peacefully..... : ) He loves me!!

So, I guess that is all for now. I have a few projects that I am working on for Christmas gifts. It got cold here last night and the wind has whipped and blown all day and night. I love it! Seems like a great night for homemade Spaghetti or Chili... Hmm.. Do I have any Tomato Sauce??

I will be back soon I promise. I still have to milk my pictures from October right now. I really hope to have this fixed soon! I have so many pictures to share with you.

Hey to San and Lottie. I am so glad that we got to spend some time with you last weekend : ) Hope to see you again very soon!

Ciao,
Rox
